This is one of the largest dome shelters we offer which can be used with a 60-foot long container set up and a single pole set. Choose from a 1 x 40ft and 1 20ft container, or 3 x 2ft container set up. Whichever configuration suits your needs, fixing one side of the structure on posts and an eaves rail can open up the space, allowing access from the front, rear and the sides of the shelter. With a post height of 2.6m general purpose or 2.9m high cube container set up, there is still ample headroom to access the shelter via the post mounted side.
Post set frames can be fixed to deep concrete footings via the welded bracket on the post spigot. The galvanised steel posts fit over the base plate spigot and is fastened together using high-strength bolts. An eaves rail runs across the top of the posts and is bolted into place, creating a strong and durable foundation to attach the shelter frame. The double truss frame is bolted together using a connection channel at both ends of the truss, then the complete assembly is welded into position on the eaves bearer.

In this 60ft/18m shipping container example, there are 8 steel posts supporting the eaves rail. We highly recommend sinking concrete piers for each post, at a minimum diameter of 500mm and a minimum depth of 1200mm. Refer to your local building codes for the correct pier depth.

The truss base plate connectors must be welded to the eaves beam at predetermined intervals. The heavy-duty double trusses are assembled and bolted into position. Additional roof purlins and cross bracing are added, forming a solid and stable structure.
