Construction, Civil Engineering and Industrial
Dome shelters such as the container-mounted Double Truss Bolted Industrial Grade Dome is often deployed as a permanent or semi-permanent structure to create on-site offices and protected weatherproof areas for plant and equipment storage.
Livestock and Agricultural Use
Double Truss Container Dome Shelters are used in agriculture for housing livestock, animal feed, fertiliser, crop storage and machinery.
Freight and Logistics, Storage and Warehousing
Container dome shelters are ideal for the freight and logistics industry because of the wide front and rear access to allow trucks of all sizes to drive under the expansive arch, load up and head off. As well as being light and airy, with no requirement for additional lighting (when the shelter is used in daylight hours), dome shelters offer supreme protection from the elements and keep whatever is stored inside, safe and secure.
Quick and Easy Installation
Double truss container dome shelters can be assembled and installed relatively quickly compared to traditional concrete slab and pressed steel structures. Their modular design and simple construction process saves time and labour costs. There is some welding to be done to attach the base plates to the container roof, a crane or industrial EWP is also required to lift and locate the trusses into their base plates, and install the roof cover and front and end walls if required.
Excellent Temperature Control
The igloo or dome shape of container shelters helps regulate temperature more effectively than flat-roofed buildings. They provide natural ventilation, more light and better air circulation, keeping the interior cooler in hot weather.
Durability in All Weather Conditions
Container dome shelters are built to withstand a wide range of weather conditions, including heavy rain, wind, and extreme UV exposure. Their sturdy construction and high-quality materials ensure long-term durability.
Ample Interior Space
The curved design of dome shelters maximizes interior space, making them suitable for storing vehicles, equipment, or creating functional work spaces. This efficient use of space is particularly valuable for various applications.
Cost-Effective
Container dome shelters offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional building structures. They require fewer materials and labour hours for installation, reducing overall project costs.
Low Maintenance
Once installed, dome shelters typically require minimal maintenance. Their durable materials and design make them resilient against wear and tear, reducing ongoing upkeep expenses.
Customisation Options
Our Container dome shelters can be customized to suit specific requirements. This includes choosing the size, color, and additional features such as front walls, back walls and half walls.
Portability
Some dome shelters are designed to be portable and can be relocated if needed. This flexibility can be advantageous for temporary projects or changing site requirements.
Environmentally Friendly
The efficient design of dome shelters often allows for energy savings due to improved natural lighting and ventilation. Additionally, they can be more sustainable than traditional building methods when considering materials and construction waste.
Our Container Dome Shelters feature a robust and meticulously engineered hot-dip galvanised double truss structure, designed to present corrosion and add a protective shield in the harshest of weather conditions. This particular shelter features a double truss design for exceptional strength, ensuring long-lasting durability. Engineered to meet stringent Australian Standards, this highly-engineered frame provides the structural integrity to endure heavy winds and challenging environments. With its sturdy construction, you can trust that the container dome shelter frames are built to last, offering unbeatable protection for your valuable assets.
As this is an Industrial Grade Dome Shelter the cover is made from heavy-duty 650GSM thickness 3-Ply PVC material. The sheer weight and quality of the fabric means added UV-resistance and fire-resistant for added safety. Its formidable construction ensures superior protection and longevity, making it an ideal choice for various applications where reliability and resilience are paramount.

Note: A comprehensive and detailed installation and assembly guide is included with each purchase to ensure precise and correct setup.
1. Container Alignment
Position the shipping containers to align with the predetermined width dimensions of the shelter, which is generally the centres of each of the ends of the truss connections. This ensures that the entire dome structure will fit securely and maintain stability.
2. Base Plate Assembly
This shelter features a welded base plate design with specially made plates with roof truss spigot connections form the support for the double truss structure.
3. Roof Truss Construction
Lay out the truss sections on a flat surface and proceed to bolt each section together to form a complete truss. This step requires attention to detail to ensure each section is correctly aligned and securely connected.
4. Roof Truss Installation
Proceed to lift each assembled truss one at a time. This step will require lifting equipment depending on the size and weight of the arches. After installing the first two trusses and connecting them to the base plates, connect the roof purlins to each truss arch using the clips provided. Continue to install the rest of the trusses and purlins.
5. Roof Cover Installation
Start by gently unpacking the shelter cover onto a flat surface away from dirt, mud or any other substrates which may damage the cover or soil the appearance. Lift the cover onto one container, then methodically pull one side of the cover up and over the roof structure to the other container. Secure the edges of the cover firmly, applying the correct tension to ensure a snug fit. This step is crucial for weatherproofing and overall stability of the shelter.
